and another things that really pisses me off about all of these inconsiderate bastards on napster is this:

Britney_Spears_01_Britney_Spears_Hit%Me%Baby%One%More%Time%37ee7_h4xxor%rulz

wtf?? learn how to use your extraction software properly and don't add stupid appendages! come on people!!

and another thing is that songs are frequently labeled with the wrong artist. someone finds a song by title with no artist, thinks they know who it is, so they add the wrong name to the song. i saw "smoke two joints" by bob marley. now i know that sublime sang this song as i am a big fan, but i thought maybe it was a cover of a marley song, so... i downloaded it only to find that it was the sublime song!! idiots!!

lately with all the hype about napster, tons of freakin mtv generation losers have been flocking to napster. i went into a chat room last night to rty to find someone with a couple songs i have been looking for, and it was filled with 14 year old kids swearing at each other and calling everybody fags. that site is really headed downhill. and these same jerkoffs kill your downloads when youre halfway done, totally killing the whole code of ethics of the site.

Thumbs up

I just always search for the songs. Screw talking to the people first.

no. i'm dead serious. i dont ever think he TOUCHED the song... Harry Chapin wrote it I believe...

http://www.littlejason.com/chapin/songs/catcrad.html

do a search on Napster. This has to be the BIGGEST mislabelling ever......

almost EVERY "Cats in the Cradle" says Cat Stevens. Even worse, most of those, when you play 'em, are actually the Ugly Kid Joe version...

forget napster... it's dying, and nearly dead. I feel for the guys that started it, but it got tooo much negative publicity. I'm using gnutella now. v.56 works great, sometimes easier than napster, better if your behind a firewall
used to have all kinds of trouble logging on a napster server, but since gnutella doesn't have servers, that problem doesn't exist. (no, it wasn't a slow/bad conection problem on my end... I'm on a freakin' OC3 (I think thats what they call it) conection.)

You guys are absolutely right! That's amazing...what a rip off artist!! That guy sounds EXACTLY like Cat Stevens!
And it is Harry CHAPIN, just to clear that up.
Huh, Johnny Cash did a version, too...

the one redeeming factor that that site has is the fact that you can label songs however you want. you can search for sh!it or f*ck and get all kinds of responses, and sometimes find some cool stuff. i've even found metallica songs hidden under cuss words. not that it is so great to find an old metallica song, but people are trying to find a way around the system and i love stuff like that

That Gnutella really chews up my CPU processor overhead. Probably due to all those false searches (denial of service) put out there by some automated robots to artificially create a huge gnutellanet traffic. If you take a look at some of the terms appearing, you will see a lot of cyclic repeats as well as spammy ones such as mp3, zip, *.mp3, .zip, .mp3, etc.
