Mild Suckage at CC.

Well I went to the Local Circuit CIty to pick up the Lion King 1 1/2 DVD and the Kylie Minogue CD, which was suppose to come with a DVD Samples of Norah Jones and Coldplay. Well things got real sucky when the Music department (like one small rack) didn't even have the CDs out yet... I went at 10:05am, they open a 10am.... this stuff should be out already. So I go to the DVD area and pick up the Lion King. Then head back to the music rack. Some dude that works there comes out with tbe boxes on a cart that have the DVDs that people came early for. The guy gives us the CDs we want from the box but gets floored when asked about the DVD samples for select CDs. He has never heard of the deal, but does his best to find out what happened to the DVD samplers as he can not find them.

The funny thing is some other employee flat out lies to the four of us we are seeking the sampler. He states plaining, "We had them but most likely sold out of the samplers yesterday, sorry folks...." Which is a flat out lie, in teh sunday ad it says DVD and CD are not available until today (feb 10th). I love it, the employees at this Huntington Beach CC suck because they are willing to lie to customers to save their butts....

So after a 7-10 minute search he informs us that they were not ordered on time and will arrive later. We ask for a rain check and they guys like.. sure... yeah...just talk to the front.

Man I've heard that line before at this CC. So I set out to hunt down the department floor manager so I can get the rain check for the DVD sampler in writting or confirmed. WHen I find her she is talking to the operations manager and she is telling her to stop lying to the customers in a hushed voice but stops short of finishing because I make eye contact.

All in all I was given the operaitonal manager's business card signed and stating that I am to recieve the sampler and I gave them my number to call me when they get in (they forgot to order the samplers). But I had to argue with the customer service people for a while as they were saying that I would not get one even though they are not sold and and that I would have to purchase another CD to get the sampler. The operational manager came out gave me the card and told both me and the CS rep that I will be called and can pick one up when they come in possibly later today.

I hate it when employees lie to get customers off their back... bad business. We'll see if I get the Sampler.

Simple solution, don't shop there.

Beter yet, don't buy CDs... it just encourages the music company to mess with us more. If everyone stopped buying CDs then they would have to play nice.

I only buy cds 9.99 or less.

I only buy used CDs at second hand shops. They are much cheaper there and I am not feeding the RIAA cash to molest preteens.

employees lied just to get you off their backs. if i had to work at some bull**** job and i'm treated like **** by my boss, fellow employees, and the customers i was dealing with, i'd be spitting **** too.

Sounds like my crap experiences at Worst Buy. I just don't go there anymore. If I ever hear they're going out of business, I'm gonna go dance a jig in front of the manager!
