Angry SS: Pothole

Argh...I hit a pothole last night after visiting my dad after he got back from the hospital. Just got a chance to see it today. Broken hub cab and bent rim. Argh!!! How much do you think it's going to be to fix it? Probably need a alignment because my steering wheel shakes too.

Man...my refund check is going to everyone but me. Bah!

Around here there are situations where you can charge the state or city for pothole damage to your vehicle. Might be worth checking in to.

SUE the city!!!

you should be happy you don't have expensive rims :p

you probably need a replacement, big potholes are bad.

How badly bent is the wheel?

Hmm...my gf took it in and they said they could fix it for $80? From what I remember, he said I can keep the tire but replace the rim. Does this figure sound corrent? It sounds low. Hmm...should of asked him to do an alignment while he's at it.

After a bump like that, I would imagine that your alignment could be knocked out. Wouldn't hurt to have it checked.

Well this is what he did. He moved my rear passenger tire to the front passenger tire. And then he put on a new tire on the bent rim which he "bent" back into shape. And he put that as the reas passenter tire. So instead of replacing the rim he just "bent" it back. I guess it works but I'll probably take it in for an alignment anyway.
