SS: Feeling like you are letting someone down

One of the worst feelings in the world has to be the one where you feel like you are letting someone down! Honestly, you feel the most heartache and disgusted with yourself. It doesnt matter how hard you are trying to not do it, the mere fact that you are doing it is like a knife in your heart.

I think its even worse when the other person feels like they are letting you down and its not their fault.

Man, am I upset at myself right now.

Life is an emotional rollercoaster-if everyone was on an even keel all the time-we'd be robots....things pass...things pass..take a deep breath and try to find some good in what was done..

I can't stand the thought of letting my kids down... like if I promise them something reasonable, you gotta show them that your word means something to them above all else.

i wish i had parents like you are, my parents always used to promise me stuff then not come through.

so, consequently, i always hate it when i let someone down like that. give them my word or promise to do something and don't follow through with it it sucks.

The problem isnt what was done, but rather what isnt being done. I am STILL looking for another job and thus far havent found anything even though I have been applying like a mad man. I could always start my own practice but as of yet that is still undesirable.

Unfortunately, our move is ending up costing us more than expected, which is annoying. On top of that we are flying to my cousins wedding and due to some unforeseen obstacles the cost of that is growing. As a result, I feel horrible since I am not contributing and my wife feels horrible since she thinks she is not providing enough for us, which she really is. No matter how many times I tell her its not her fault she doesnt believe me, making me feel even worse.

Man that sucks... since they are kids they don't always remember what I said to them but I always remind them that I promised them something. Hey <son's name> remember daddy said he'd take you to legoland? Well do you want to go today? Stuff like that.

I always think that someday they'll remember something I didn't do or that they are actually thinking about it and worried to bring it up like I'm gonna get mad or something. But they also know that when I say I'm busy that I should be left alone until I can give them my undivided attention.
