NSS: Got a job

Working at Pro-com Consulting. Doing basic administrative, IT, accounting etc for the time being until they see which place I excel in and then dedicate me to that. Starting salary is $26,000/y and MEdical and Dental insurance. Needless to say, I am stoked.

The only drawback is its about 45 minute commute to get there, but its a small price to pay, and supposedly they said as much of my work as possibly can will be done at home so I can telecommute.

damn, i'd starve to death at 26k/year. But then again, you're single, got no long term payments, and maybe ATL cost of living is lesser. Sounds like a place that would allow a lot of growth tho. Congratz.

Yeah, cost of living here is low. Gas is $1.68 a gallon and my rent is only $350 plus utilities. I should be living pretty comfortably, that is, until I have to start repayments on my student loans, then that will be tighter.

I think you can get half a cardboard box if you head down to Compton

You'll pay more than that to park your car in a garage in NYC.

Yup . . . $26,000 should be quite sufficient to live on with a rent of $350.

I started at $29,000 while paying $1,250 a month in rent here in Manhattan. That was really fun
