S: It's been a long week...

and it's only Tuesday!!!!

My boss insists that we must work 40 hours a week regardless of the fact that we were 40+ the week before and will most likely the week after.
Sunday I sprained my ankle pretty bad during soccer. Went to the Dr. yesterday he said it is just a severe strain and there is a chip on the bone, but I think its an old injury. So I left a few hours early. I figured if I took 15-30 min lunches I would make up my missed time. Today my girlfriend wasn't feeling good so I asked her if she still wanted to go to school she said yes. So we got almost to the train station and she started vomitting in the car. So I had to drive her back home. So of course I was late again to work. I'm waiting to get hollered at about missing so much work. BLAH on him.

Thats what everyone said to me when I got in to work. No there isn't. She has been sick for two days, but she felt good lastnight.

I know a whopping 40 hours. I only get paid enough for 40 hours....if they want to give me more money, gladly i would work more than 40 hours...

You have to hate when you are told you will be only working X hours and negotiate your salary with that in mind and suddenly find out you are working X + Y and Z. Definitely makes you feel taken advantage of by your boss.

Definately. I work almost as many hours as my immediate boss. I hate that he wants to ding us for not making 40 a week (even at 38 hours). As long as its not habitual I don't see why he can't count the extra hours from the week before.
