SS: Car Keyed

I went to the Projekt Revolution tour over at the Hyundai Pavilion in Devore, CA on Saturday. For those of you who know, it's basically in the middle of nowhere and the parking lot is basically a big open dirt area.

So, I park my car as I normally would and then come back 8 hours later to find the entire left side of my car keyed beyond belief. The ******* got my driver's door, the passenger's door with lots of swirls and then the area above my tire. So, basically, I have to have entire left side of my car repainted. Thankfully I just lowered my deductibles on my insurance a couple months ago, but it still sucks because I'll probably lose my car for a day or two.

At least I didn't get caught speeding or something...because that would have sucked even more. I will post pictures of the damage tomorrow.

That's terrible man. It almost hurts to hear. Why would somebody do that...sigh.

May the karma train derail at their station.

Kinda reminds me of the time someone wrote "N****R" on the side of my Brother's Mazda 929 in big letters that went from the front quarter panel to the rear quarter panel...

Some people are so STUPID... I just wish you could catch them in the act or on film to make them pay for what they did.

The scratches are fairly deep. They must have pressed real hard or used something other than a key to draw on my car.

I didn't piss off anyone. This happened in a parking lot at a concert. I bet the guys were drunk and thought it would be funny to **** my car up.

they could have used a rock, if you dont want to repaint it, you can go get some touch up paint fromthe dealer and get a tiny brush (griots has them) and touch it up yourself

I am definitely not doing it myself. Since my insurance deductible is only $250 i'm going to run it through my insurance. Oh well. C'est la vie.

That would look VERY SUCKY in my opinion...

Minor scratches... touch up paint is OK... but not for something like that.

Plus, most touch up paints do not "perfectly match" the original color...(especially for the paint jobs that are 2 and 3 stage paints... like "candy" colors or metal flake)

You may be able to get that buffed out. Same thing happened to my truck the first day I got it. Kids back in high school tended to think it was cool or funny to key brand new cars in the parking lot. It pisses me off just to look at your pics. Some people have no respect. It's ****ing ridiculous.

Sorry to hear about this Ray, and I'm glad to hear that you have a low deductible for this. On the flip side, things could always be worse. I had the great luck of getting my car stolen, totally stripped, and then the a$$holes had the nerve to key my car with "thank you" and "f*ck bush"!

So i just dropped the car off at the Toyota Body Shop. Won't be ready for at least a week. And here I was thinking it would only be a couple days.
