NS: Won raffle at work!

They had a Breast Cancer Society raffle at work and I stuck $20 in, got 20 tickets, didn't think I'd win. However, I won a 2-night trip to any resort in the Fairfield timeshare realm. I think Steph and I are going to be taking a nice trip to Vegas, our resort there is *THE* pimpin palace, $210/night for normal folk.

I have never won anything in my life.

she actually had her choice between 4 Chrysler vehicles all in the $25,000 range.
since she and my brother have 4 kids all under the age of 6 (2 girls ages 6 and 5, and twin boys age 2)
they chose a Chrysler Grand Caravan.

Heh... hopefully she can afford to pay the taxes on it.

Unlike some of the folks who won Oprah's "free car".

I'd still pay the $7,000 in tax to drive a "free car"....

that is exactly the amount of tax they have to pay, but a $25,000 vehicle for 7 grand is still a big win. plus i think they can claim the tax.

Definitely was.... I don't think that she was gonna spring for the tax for them.

All that stuff was "corporate giveaways".... not "out of pocket".

We (as in Cendant-TRG, who I work for) owns that one too. Trendwest-Worldmark's resorts are usually not at the same level as Fairfield, but the LV one is very nice on both sides.

Do you own points with WM?

I had it drained and a cortisone shot on monday, now I feel MUCH better. I can walk without crutches. In 3 weeks, when we are planning on going, I should be doing jumping jacks.

We are thinking of flying out afternoon friday, and taking the redeye back on Sun night/Mon morn.

Fun stuffs.

Now I am going to have to find your contract and cancel it...MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Just kidding. Its cool that I have actually met an owner and you are on here. I deal with over 500,000 owners between the two brands. I look at your contracts, analyze defaults, payments, and we bundle them up and sell them to bondholders. Its really interesting stuff.

Next time there's a sale i'll let you know
