Office Depot Dutch-doored me

You had posted a great deal on a Logitech LX700 Desktop at Office Depot. I followed the links and put an order in and then was notified that the product was back ordered. Based on what I could see on the web the order was in at the $69.95 price and I shoudl be eligible for the $20 rebate and the $10 VISA deal.
With the web site stating that the product had been shipped and me not receiving it I called their customer service and was told no order is in and I would have to pay $ 99.95 for the package. After a long discussion with the dude he finally gave me the $69.95 price but would not give me the $10 VISA deal. I sent a message to their customer service address only to receive the following day a receipt from them saying the message was deleted before being read.

I would have to think very hard before I ouwld ever consider doing business with Office Depot, I have had much better expreience with other similar companies.

I have received outstanding support from Office Depot's central customer service. They directly paid me a $50 rebate on a Samsung laser printer that Samsung's rebate processor was giving me a hassle about. More info is in this thread. (NSS: Office Depot honoring vendor rebates)
