that's the thing dude. sure, i've made a TON of money for my company this year but i'm not really a hard worker. just look at my post count.

at the beginning of this year i asked God to bless my work, to make the deals, activities, etc. i engage in fruitful. and my wife and i are committed to giving to our church, missions, and charities and volunteering and honestly believe that i've been financially blessed because of it. i'm sure people will think it's nonsense but that's mho.

dude i'm trying. i looked at my life last year and realized that i have contributed virtually nothing to this planet other than maybe my tithe, missions, and some volunteer activity. i am incredibly wasteful and if i'm going to make a real difference, i have to be responsible with what i've been given. that's why i want to really tighten the screws on my spending and keep track of where my money goes and not just drift spending every dime that i get on myself. canta's comments in one of other the other threads about what Jesus said on the "sermon on the mount" really struck home. i, like many other christians, have not concentrated on what i theoretically say is important in life.

but that doesn't mean i'm selling my expensive bikes. lol.

Yeah, I think it's a standard to withhold bonuses at 27%. They do the same thing around here. But the nice thing is that my work pays bonus at the end of December, so you can get the excess withholdings back in a couple of months.

Of course not! The Bible says, "GIVE, and it shall be given unto you....". "It is more blessed to GIVE than to receive." I'm sure you'd find plenty of TAKERS around here!

So I guess this is what you get for dealing with that one assclown vendor? Sounds like it's well-deserved.

So are you interested in funding a beer-research grant?

Had the same thing happen to me today. Same range. It will be nice to finally be out of debt plus have some left over for a couple of toys and savings.
