S: Termites in my bedroom

This is pretty gross. There were hundreds of termites flying around my window sill yesterday. I sprayed them with bleach and water, cus that's all I really had, and it actually worked. However, it disentegrated them all. So I had to pick up several hundred termites, and several hundred pairs of wings.

I might have to move out of the house to get the place fumigated. I just moved in in feb!

Are you really sure that they were termites?

There are ants that look just like termites that shed their wings after they breed... Do you have any rotting wood around? (if they are in fact termites...)

A mild detergent/water solution will take out a lot of insects. You might try it in place of the bleach next time.

Yeah they're definitely termites. I woulda done the water and soap thing, but i just happened to have a spray bottle of water and bleach. I kinda paniced. We just replaced the foundation because of termites, but I guess they're back.

I keep a spray bottle of mild bleach solution in my shower. If I notice a place where some mildew is growing on the inside of the shower curtain or the tiles, I just give it a quick mist as I exit the shower.
