SS: 102.4ºF fever

I feel MISERABLE. I'm achy, hot, cold, been shivering all ****ing day. Going to go curl up on the couch and try and get warm. (I know, ironic, isn't it?)

That sucks. Mix up the following in a large mug, 1 cup tea, honey, lemon, and 1/4cup whiskey or rum. Drink it down...it taste bad but works. When you wake up tomorrow you should feel better.

That does suck! Try warm tea, fuzzy blanket, and a cozy kitty. That combo always helps me.

Trust me, its a recipie from the old country. Been used and worked for centuries. I have personally downed that magic potion MANY times. As I said, it sounds and tastes bad, but its good for getting better.

take a very warm bath. It's incredibly comforting, especially when you feel really cold.

well, since everyone's throwing out random get-better ideas... snort & gargle warm salt water. One of my friends swears by it, and he had it recommended to him by his doctor.

hope you feel better!

So my fever was down to 100.2 for awhile. I took Tylenol PM about 2 hrs ago. About an hour ago, I started shivering again and I just took my temp and it's back up to 101.9. So just took another dose of ibuprofen. Bleh. I could tell it was coming back when I started shivering and my stomach started hurting and now my skin is all tingly. (I love that feeling. That's the only part about this that is remotely fun. lol)

I like to take Nyquil. It usually works for me and it puts me to sleep almost immediately.

Don't forget to get some fresh air..that is the most important part of getting better..open your windows and air your house out for a while (regardless of the tempurature outside)..and make sure you change your pillowcases often if you are laying down.
oh, and don't forget to keep a bottle of hand sanitizer nearby for use after everytime you need to blow your nose...

Your headache might be because you got dehydrated after sweating it all out from the fever. That is why you need to get plenty of fluids.

yay. Turns out I have a urinary tract infection, which could cause a high fever, etc. The fever, chills & nausea were probably covering up the pee problems (cause honestly, I could have been peeing fire and wouldn't have noticed or cared), so when the dr gave me the pain meds for my headaches and the nausea meds, I began to notice the other. So went into the dr again today, did a urine test and it came back positive. Got antibiotics, so in a couple of days, should be good to go.

Thank GOD.

I've had UTIs before and its good to drink a TON of water while you're on antibiotics- even if you dread peeing, you should just do it because you'll get it out of your system that much quicker. Oh and to prevent future occurances you should drink cranberry juice every once in a while, (also comes in a pill if you don't like drinking the juice). My friend told me wearing thongs could be a result, but I'm not sure- (sorries if its TMI) lol.
