SS: 13 hours and counting

I'm at work.
I came in Saturday and it's now early Sunday morning. My estimated time of departure is still 9 hours away... and it keeps getting pushed back.

I passed 16 hours. It's been a long night, but I might get to go home in a couple more hours... have I mentioned that I don't work nights? Well, in theory anyways.

I had to work this Saturday starting at 10am and I wasn't able to finish until after 2am. I love/hate telecom, especially when Cisco releases an IOS that causes random router reloads only after being installed for 4 weeks...

does it bother you to work such long hours or did you know this was what you were getting into when you took the job?

Bro, our Q&A guys never do the shifts that you do. Is it a thing where they have you on call during the release day, just in case? Or are you actively testing during these times?

I feel for you. That's a tough deal, and I know you've done a few (recently at that)...

Long work days are no fun, hopefully this is the last of them for a long time.

I'm just happy to have a job.

I got out at 7:40am and got called back in at 5pm. So I got some sleep, but my schedule is shot for Monday...

At my job it is expected to have some long nights occationaly, but going through to the next morning is unusual.

I'm in the same boat with your QA guys. Mostly it is every once in awhile they need us on a sat or sunday for 4-5 hours. However I can understand where Grimm is coming from, sometimes **** hits the fan or a deadline has to be met. For me, it is one other tester and I as the testers for the project I'm working on, if something needs to be done, it is only us.

Dude, that's crazy. I hope you have time to relax, rebuild, and regain composure cause that's an awful (and literally enough to fill me with awe) weekend. I hope your much deserved sleep does well for you.
