You hear those inane commericals on the radio, but Disneyland finally got it right.
I went this weekend, and I've always loved Disneyland, except for the lines. I mean, you were looking at waits of over an hour at some of these things like Splash Mountain or Space mountain. Well, Disney's new Fastpass thing works like a charm. No sense in getting into the details, but the long and short of it was that we were able to go on way more of the attractions instead of standing in line, which is mind numbing.
Maybe not something to get really excited about, but if you're going there, it's something to look forward to.
And anyone who gets the urge to post some anti-commercialist crap can blow it out their arse. Disneyland is fun.

I myself never been to Disneyland due to have lived on the east coast most of my life. Now I have been to Disneyworld and I love it. Exactly I've been there 6 times so far. If I wasn't a couple of states away I would go more. I do have to agree the lines can get WAY too long. Hopefully they have improved some, especially since I haven't been there in about 2 years. Here's to wishing.

Lines for the Millenium Force up at Cedar Point were around 3 hours at one point! yikes!

You take your ticket and stick it in a machine. They calculate the time you'd probably stand in line. Say it's 40 min. So the machine poops out a ticket saying to come back between 40 and an hour and 40 minutes. You can only get one of these passes per ticket, so you can only get one from Splash mountain. When that one expires, then you can get one from Space mountain. So you can walk around the park, go on other, less in-demand rides while you're waiting for the Fastpass to be ready to be redeemed. When it's time, you go through a seperate entrance than the normal line. Usually, this entrance is within 5 minutes of the boarding point. It really works, and you probably spend a quarter to a third of the time you used to spend in line. Unforunately, it's only on 4-5 rides right now, but they should institute it on all the long-wait rides. I think they're testing it. To Disney: it works. W/ love, Pennypinch.

Thumbs up Wow

...that's a pretty cool system. Leave it up to disney to come up with a way to make lines obsolete

Cool Penny's sig

Penny, I really like the new sig. Actually made me laugh out loud, and that never happens.

Is that sig from some movie or something? I don't recognize it and I don't find it all that funny. At least, not the LOL funny.

Not, it's from this ridiculous song they play in bars and clubs. Actually, I heard it on the radio yesterday. The Rapture is near, and that song is proof.

Any idea what the song is called? Speaking of funny and weird songs, I got this song *cough*napster*cough* by Tai Mai Tsu that is a chinese guy doing an English rap song. There's something about his Impala and wishing that it was Sunday so that he could get a cheesburger for 39 'cent' at McDonald's. Quite amusing I must say.

it's not a racist thing, it's just that in certain countries manners are almost nonexistant. in hong kong there are a million people crossing the street at the same time as you, so they dont care if you bump into them. over here if someone bumps into my little sister and almost knocks her off a bench and doesnt say "excuse me" i'm gonna kick some ass-that's straight rude, and i'm not down with that. actually, that sounds a lot like new york too, so screw new york!, just to keep it even.

If you have kids and they want to go to disney, just say ok and drive them to a burnt down factory and say "Oh no Disneyland burned down" and go home. That will save you a lot of money.
