more computer lockups

So I as having computer lockups a few weeks ago and thought I solved the problem....HOWEVER, they are back! It appears that last time I ran a MEMTEST and found RAM errors but upon taking out the RAM and resetting it in different slots and rerunning the tests, there were no more memtest errors. So it appeared that my RAM just needed reset.

Recently the problems came back and the computer would not even boot, got a boot error with a code that gave this info in the manual:
Detect Memory
- Auto-detection of DRAM size, type and ECC.
- Auto-detection of L2 cache (socket 7 or below)

I took all the RAM out and put it back in, it restarted fine. I then this morning had another lockup in World of Warcraft, and had to turn the computer off with the switch and turn it back on. I got a new video card the last time I had problems and I can kinda rule out the video card as the problem (it happened when I had the other vid card and it is now happening with the new vid card).

Can anyone shed some light on this for me? I dont really want to send all my RAM in to the manufacterer and be without a computer unless I am pretty confidenent that is the problem (you know what I mean, I dont want to get the new RAM back and still have issues?) Please help!!!!!

You arent overclocking at all are you? Setting the timings too low on the RAM often causes lockups. I see you're using DDR466, so I'm assuming you're using DDR400 clocked at 2-2-2-5 if not overclocking. Try manually setting those numbers up a little bit and see if it plays a little bit more nicely, if not, you might want to consider running a few more sessions of memtest.
good luck,
