Hey....my PC just doesn't shut down.....I literally had to just shut it off manually and I know how that f's it up. When it is running it also tends to be EXTREMELY sluggish, i've got a suspicion that's it's a virus, does this sound familiar to anyone....and if so, does anybody have anysiggestions as to how to fix it?
Thanks ![]() |

Are you sure that all of your resources arn't getting used up? Next time it gets sluggish I would see what percentage of the system resources are free, you may just have some programs with memory leaks or something.

or it could be a combo of 2 things, windows settings are messed up for shutdown and mem leakage

Whats your system and OS quest577? How much ram do you have? Have you changed anything in your system lately? Windows as time goes on runs slower as it collects a lot of junk.
If your using win98se there's a patch on Micro$ofts site that takes care of this problem. If your using win98 disable fastshutdown. In run box type in msconfig. Click on adavanced button in lower right and disable {by checking off} Disable fast shutdown. |
