I just installed a seagate SCSI hard disk under Win 98.
My SCSI adapter detects the drive with no problem. And I know that Win 98 also detects it, because I can find the drive under device manager. The problem is, I cannot assign a drive letter to it, the field is grayed out. If I check it as a portable drive, then I can assign the drive letter. Once I uncheck it as a portable drive and do a reboot. The device manager will unassign the drive letter and gray out the field again. Anyone know what I can do? |
