Heya.... i've been a lurker for awhile and finally REALLY need help.
I was asked to network an old p100 my router at home. It's running on win95, the ethernet card is some card that came in a startup networking kit. The card worked fine in another computer...
the problem is this... i reinstalled win95, added the network card... the options show up in the network screen. However there's the STINKY exclamation point on the network adapter on the device manager screen. saying that the card is not working properly, does not have all its device drivers installed and something else i can't remember right now. The actual card looks like it should be working, the leds on the back are lit and all, but i can't browse or anything.
So anyone have any tips or not? I realize this is a pretty old system to deal with.. guess i'll continue figuring this out. Hopefully some of you can help me with this... thanks

have you tried going to the web site of the company that made the card to see if they have any newer win95 drivers? That is the place I would start.

I once had some generic nic card that would work under 98 but not under 95. After spending a couple hours trying to get it to work {looking for drivers and newsgroups for information}, the problem was solved by using another nic card.
