ok, hope u linux veterans don't kill me for this or anything... but i just installed redhat and I can't get my Xserver to start up. I think it's my vid cards (integrated ATI rage, PCI voodoo3). it autodetects in Xconfigurator, but it always gets the ati, not the voodoo3, the one i use. i think monitor-wise, i'm doing alright since my model shows up on the list.
but anyway, after I choose the monitor and chipset (i put none) and it tries to start up the X server, but never succeeds... any ideas? if u need more info, i'll do my best to find out, but it'd be good if u gave me actual prompt commands... (i'm REALLY a newbie). thanks! |

Is the ATI disabled in your Bios?
