Unhappy Fix my cell phone?

I dropped my cell phone in the street on Sunday and now I can't hear from it. People can hear me but I can't hear them unless I use the hands-free. Obviously, it has something to do with the speaker but I'm not sure if it's fixable.

I have a Nokia 8260 with AT&T.

Is this fixable or should I get a new phone?

Probably get a non-nokia phone. nokia's have gotten crappy as of late. I dropped my motorola i90c this weekend onto the street too. And its still working fine. The battery got scratched but that's it.

I guess you can try opening it and check if the speaker wires are intact, but if it's not that then it must be something with the circuitry, which would be pretty tough to fix unless you are or know an electrical engineer. I think you're going to need Torx screwdrivers to open it.

I suggest getting a new phone if you have already opened it up and the wires appear to still be in place. Nokia has gone downhill especially quality wise. I use Sprint and have yet to have a problem.

The new motorolas are supposed to be insane. I do a lot of stock research and they are an excellent company to get in on now in the way of stock as well. The cell phone stuff is a fad motivated area. Nokia's have been around awhile and are losing their sense of coolness since everyone has one (except me ). It is time for a change and motorola phones, i think, as well as many others think, are going to be the new "cool" phone.

Yeah, another business that is doing well is cell phone insurance companies. Maybe you should look into that next time.
