Virus Delete?

I found a program that I had bought at Staples about a year ago. It's ONTRACK FixIT Utilities. It has a virus scanner that works with WIN95.
I went to their website and downloaded the latest DAT files for viruses. It found a virus in my Windows system ( msrv32.exe.) I tried deleting the file after all attempts to clean the virus with the virus program failed. It will not allow me to delete this application program which seems to be a vital component of the WIN95 System.
Got any ideas how to get rid of this file, since I can't get rid of the virus?

I looked for that file on my Win98 hard drive and it was not there. Also hotbot and google searches came up with nothing.

Right click and check the properties of the file. Perhaps it is read-only.

I copied the file to a floppy to show someone at work on Monday. Anyway, it's an executable file and it doesn't say anything about it being a "read only" file.
I used Copernic to find it, too and I couldn't find a thing about it. But what's really weird that it appears that I somehow installed it less than a year ago on my computer.(The Windows 95 OS was installed about 7 years ago on this computer). The logo next to it when I use "FIND" also does not look like a typical Windows logo.

It probably won't let you delete it because it's in use by Windows. Boot into DOS mode & you should be able to delete it.

I found another excellent antivirus program on the WEB. It's by VEXIRA. They are offering a 30 day free trial. It found another virus, called Klex.e . Seems to be a pretty popular worm going around. It infected 90 of my files and destroyed 3 of my programs.
The antivirus program also deletes the infected files that are in DOS upon bootup. So everything is working fine. Thanks for the help!
