Odd computer crashes

So a friend of mine calls me up and says that his computer works fine and all, except when he starts any game, it works for about a minute and then freezes, he replaced the video card and it still freezes after about a minute... any ideas?

I had this same problem, i could surf the net and the like, but when i played a game (diablo 2 at the time), it froze after between 1 and 10 minutes. I replaced my video card and that didnt solve it. However I then replaced my mobo and everything worked fine!

I would suppose its an irq conflict. Make sure your irq's arent being shared. And ask your friend when it freezes up, after the music starts playing, graphics. etc ... If that doesnt solve the problem, i guess he isnt gonna be playing many games.
