Getting a weird error

Hey my fellow got|apex peeps...I'm getting this error regarding my kernelsys32.exe...every once in a while I would get this window saying there is no disk in the drive...but I don't know why it would say that because the drive is not in use. This would come up everytime I don't have a CD in one of my dirves or a 3 1/2 in my floppy drive. The message does NOT go away unless I put a disk or a CD into the drive. Whats going on? It's really starting to annoy me...and I just want it to go away. Does anybody else have this problem...if so...how did you fix it...or does anybody have any ideas?

Start backing up important files in case a hard drive failure happens. Try to reinstall the OS, if it works then you're cool, if it doesnt, format. If formatting doesnt work, get a new hdd.

Here's the thing...the error is not coming from the HDD. It's coming from one of the floppy drives ie. CD, DVD, 3 1/2....nothing to do with the HDD. I'm suspecting it's something to do with the XP OS. But I have to look into that more.
