floppy drive
I moved my computer to a new case and hooked everything up. However I am having one problem, my floopy drive doesnt work. The green light turns on but stays on and wont detect disks. Please help, as i need to use it tonite. THANKS!

ok, make sure the red edge of the floppy cable is near PIN 1 on the mother board connector.
ALSO, (assuming you only have 1 floppy drive?) when connecting the other end of the cable to the floppy drive make sure you connect is using the connector on the end that HAS part of the cable twisted. Make sure the red edge of the cable is CLOSEST to the power connector on the floppy drive.

I agree thats the problem. But for some reason some computors that i have fixed have had floppys that worked only when pin 1 was faced away from the power conector. Thats wierd, was that like a manufacturer mistake or do they do that on purpose sometimes ?
