Ok, my problem is, I don't understand why my computer still lags. and when I try to install the 5.1 drivers, it kills my system resources. the stupid program "devolvr.exe" gets loaded up 4 times when i used the drivers the company provided for me. I uninstalled it and dled the updated version drivers for windows XP. I stil lhave lag. the program "devolvr.exe" is only loaded once this time, but still Lags. Espcially when I run Direct connect or play windows media player. It's a 1.5ghz...I ahve free space (60gb drive, have 10 gb free). Can anyone tell me ways I can improve this? or if anything is defective? I already tested my ram, and it passed all the test, I have checked for viruses(checked and none), and I alread ydefraged my computer 3 times. Please help.

Steve

Get rid of all the crappy TSRs that come loaded on the computer. Especialy "Find Fast". Delete the shortcut in the Start Up directory in the Start Menu.
