I recently bought a ViewSonic 151G and it is a great monitor ... but I am having a problem using PhotoShop 5.5 with it.
When I click on an image I want to open, the preview of that file looks fine. But when I open the image in PhotoShop the image changes color to a pinkish hue. Does anyone know how to tweak PhotoShop to get the file to open properly? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Robnoxious |

Photoshop usually has a Gamma Correction utility (called Gamma Loader, I believe). However, gamma would have nothing to do with a change in the tint of your images... Hmmm, interesting. Very interesting...

I don't have Photoshop 5.5 handy, but in Photoshop 6 pressing CTRL-SHIFT-K brings up the Color Settings dialog. I THINK in Photoshop 5.5 that you can get there from the File menu under "Color Settings" or something similar to that.
From there, check your RGB working space. Try changing the setting and see what happens. sRGB is a good place to start... I wish I could help more, but I don't have PS 5.5 anymore! ![]()
