dark monitor

hi all,...

i've recently been experiencing some problems with my monitor and i thought i'd throw it out here and see what you guys might have as suggestions.

my monitor recently has become darker and darker where it's hard for me to read the screen. it seems to always start at night and continues on for a couple of days. adjusting the contrast and brightness does nothing as well as adjusting the height and horizontal settings. like right now, the screen has "shrunk" down to about 80% of it's orginal size and it's much much darker than before.

any thoughts? ideas? questions? help? =)

tia!

How old is your monitor? Sounds like your CRT is dying.

Unhappy Sad...

Your monitor's power supply is dying. My building's 21"ers die this way more than any othee size. I suspect it is because the monitors are underpowered.
