Virus Question
Alrighty guys...I have this email in my inbox from a post master something or another...it's a 125k letter and I'v been sending a lot os emails out. So I want to know what letter is it. Anywho...to make a long story long. Are virus' only attachments, or can they spead when you open a email? Becuase i've had people send me like 164k letter with nothing in it, and no attachments. So thats kinda confusing! Tell me how a virus works in a email. Thanks peeps!

i don't know exactly how it works.. some require you to open the attachment itself, but i'm sure there are others more tricky.. just leave a virus checked on always.. and if u dont have one, use some of those online virus checkers

It very well could be that nasty Klez virus. It can execute when an email is opened.
For Outlook Express I turn off the preview pane and check out the properties of the email. Sometimes its just a troll expressing love. ![]() http://www.grisoft.com is a good and free anti-virus |

I would highly recommend you scan for viruses Cheesypuff
free online virus scan: housecall.antivirus.com Also use www.mailwasher.net. That way spam and viruses can be deleted without even been downloaded. You can also have emails bounced back as undeliverable. |
