win2k explore My Comp Problem
This is my computer at school and it bugs the hell out of me that I can't move files around exploring. I am getting certified in Oracle, thing is would move to another computer but everything is set up on this one. I have been trying to fix this all semester using Help and searching the web with no luck.
The left side is greyed out. Any ideas please help. Thanks. http://borho.dyndns.org/ebay/desk.bmp Hi djjazzman: 1.37MB is wayyy too big. Please keep pictures 150kb or smaller. Thank you, GAM |

The problem is that you're not Exploring. That's My Computer with a search or other window open. Click the X on the top right of the gray area on the left.
If you want to explore, right click on My Computer and choose Explore. Alternatively, on a Windows Keyboard, press the Windows logo Key and the letter E at the same time and then let go.

Sorry about the pic I was at school and was not paying attention to the size. To little late I have made it smaller.
Thanks Jenny for fixing it. SnotRocket That is from right click on My computer Icon then explore. I get the same thing from start/programs/accessories/windows explorer. Thanks for your input. |

Hmmm.. Try clicking View | Explorer Bar | Folders inside of Windows Explorer. I'm assuming you're running XP.

Window 2000 Pro.
I have tried that all that does is toggle the folders on the left. I posted my problem on another forum they say it is a permission issue. Thing is I can enter both drives and all the folders on the drives. I can Double click my computer then -C:- and so on If it was a permission issue wouldn't is say access denied? Thanks |

Definitely not permissions. If it was permissions, you would still be able to see the drives, you just wouldn't be able to access them.
I'll keep looking... Definitely never seen this issue before. Seqiro, you around? Wanna take a stab? |

This occurs on three different logins
1 is the normal lab login and it is part of the schools domain 2 oracle and this machine 3 oracle2 and this machine just to let you know. Could it be so kind of 'view' or option not checked somewhere? Thanks for the help! |
