CD Data Recovery

Hey, I'm in a jam here and could REALLY use some help.

I backed up some files from my hard drive before formatting onto a cd using Nero 5.0.whatever.

It kept giving my messages about long filenames, so I made the settings, ISO Level 2, ISO 9660 and DESELECTED Joliet.

Then I formatted the drive and loaded WinXP. Now I can't read the disk.

I know something burned onto it b/c of visual inspection. A couple of different data recovery tools I've used, as well as Nero have indicated that there IS a data track on the cd, but they can't read it.

Can anyone PLEASE help? This is a BIG problem b/c there was/is some really critical stuff on there. Thanks!

Can you copy the data to the hard drive and change attributes?

No, I can't see anything that's on the disk at all. I tried to save the track with Nero, but it never progressed past trying to read the disk.

Nero does indicate that there's a track on the disk that's 30 minutes long

Here's a link to how it looks in Nero

Here's a link to my original burn settings

They would prolly be better suited to help you.

I just saw a link on USATODAY.COM in the Tech section about recovering data from scratched CD and DVD. It's usaully called Shareware Shelf and it redirects you to www.download.com to the appropriate software.

Maybe you can do a search for it?
