too many pop ups!
I'm on my sister's computer and I only have GotApex showing on my browser. The problem is that tons of pop ups just start showing up for no reason! Like 50 of them at a time! I have no idea whats going on with her computer. Can anyone help me figure out what to do to stop these pop ups? Thanks!!

If you're running Kazaa in the background, that could be the perpetrator. Other ad-supported programs, like download accelerators, also run huge amounts of ads that randomly pop up.
The biggest suggestion from me is to download Spybot Search-and-Destroy and get rid of all the files it brings up. Ad-Aware is good, but Spybot (in my situations) has gotten rid of more spyware products. You can also disable your Messenger service if it's running in the background. From the Run command, run 'msconfig', click the "Startup" tab, and uncheck the one labeled "msmsgs". Or you can try the command line methods of removing it (just Google for it). also stop using ie, hehe. Get mozilla or one of its incarnates like firebird. Great browsers with blockers. Also opera is quite nice.

I use both Spybot and ad-aware. Neither one of them is perfect but the combination works like a charm. You can also use Meaya's popup blocker. I've been using it for years and it blocks every single popup. Cheer.

Related to this...
Does anyone know a good free pop-up blocker? I used to use Pop-Up Stopper but their Free Edition now is a bit crappy and it causes all sorts of Javascript errors to be thrown, even when there's no pop-up. |

Get Meaya PopUp Ad Filter + a five finger discount serial key
