Unhappy

Hey guys. I just got a Viewsonic PF790, one of those flat as a pancake monitors. Well at first glance its great but after using for a while i've noticed the convergence in to corners is pretty bad and the color temp. is less on the left side than the right side. it has many settings but none of them seem to help. what should i do ??? you guys think its defective or are all of them like this??? except for those two problems its a really really sweet monitor.

I have a FP950 hapoo. It sounds you've done everything to try to correct the problems which I have heard before (not just with the PF790). I would take it back.

Its pretty damn good with only slight convergence problems. So I give it a thumbs up.
Leon unfortunately had problems with this monitor.
Sometimes I think getting a dud is matter of bad luck. My advice is to definitely take your current monitor back since it has major uncorrectable problems.

Yeah. Keep sending it back until you get a perfect monitor.

Onvia is sending me a new one. My defective one had that misconvergence of colors on one edge also. Now it has vertical lines streaking down the middle. *#$^*#&^#*%&^

They must have dropped it like a thousand times...

you might check the 19" monitor review in this month's maximum PC. It has that brand (im not sure if yours was 17 inch or 19") and it talks some about the problems at the corners.

If you don't ahve access, email me and I'll scan it and send it to you.

Yes I saw that in Maximum PC FierceDaddy. 3 of the corners of my monitor are right but alas the fourth I can't get lined up.
