Linksys Network or Cable Vision Cable
Hey i have a linksys b wireless router and a linksys g wirless pc card for my laptop, however every like 10-15 minutes i loose a packet and it either screws my downloads, online games and or aol messaging. I called my cable company and they tested the modem when it was directly connected to my laptop and it didnt drop any packets, so i really think that it is my linksys... system. however i need wireless because the cable is in my basement and i need the internet in my room. please help me...
oh my specs are: win xp pro dell 8100 inspiron 768 mhz p3 256 ram 20 gigs

Upgrade the firmware on your router and nic. Make sure you're runnung the latest manufacturer drivers NOT the MS windows update drivers.
