Question

I have a compaq presario notebook and it's been giving me a blue screen whenever i want to shutdown my computer. The message is some kind of OD error with a whole bunch of numbers and letters. What does this mean and how do solve this problem? Thanks a whole lot!!

Question

Just a quick note... Usually when you post messages for help give more info like especially the o/s and devices and other cards. This can help out us answer most of the time.

If this problem, persists on a reboot, examine the CMOS for exceptions and verify the device drivers in use. Try switching to VGA video mode.
0E errors refer to bad memory , and 0D errors are video problems

Exclamation

Note- an "od" type error is generally related to video. An "oe" error is generally related to memory addessing. That is straight from my Aplus certification for dummies book. Look into your video drivers, resolution, refresh..etc
