I posted this once before, but it magically disappeared, and gave me a 404.
Sometimes, when I shut down my Windows 98 PC, I get the blue screen of death. I press space to get rid of that one, another one comes up, after pressing space a few more times it will power off. This is just annoying and I suspect it may be causing harm to my PC. I've noticed this happening when I shut down with a dial-up connection on, although I think its been there other times. Anybody have any clues on what to do? Thanks a lot. ------------------ |

When in doubt, format the hard drive.

Have you installed the 98 shutdown patch from the MS updates site? I would try that before a format.
