Crunch It Now

ok - im stumped on this one, and need everyone's help. i have a Raite AVPhile 711 dvd player. i ordered a James Bond Goldeneye dvd, and went to go play it, but it just spins up and the display on the dvd says "Title 04 - Chapter 01 - Time 0:00:00" and it just sits there with a blank screen on the tv. i cant do anything with any of the buttons - when i push anything - skip, FF, REW, PLAY, STOP, etc - i just get the little hand icon on the screen (which means i cant use that command). the only way i can get it to do anything is to open up the tray. i dont think its the dvd player, because it plays every one of my other dvds just fine without any problems. i dont think its the dvd either, cuz i have taken it to my friends' houses, and it plays just fine on their dvd players. has anyone ever heard of anything like this or know how to fix it?

Actually we have that issue with Peter Pan. It will not play in our DVD player but on the dvd drive it plays fine. Since we have two different players that input into the entertainment system we never figured out why that happens. Depending on what other dvd disks you have tried it could be a parental lock but I definately know in our case it wasn't.

that happened to me once.. i got the 6th sense and it wouldn't play in my dvd player, but everythign else would. so i tried it in a friend's player and it worked there, but it was all skippy and crappy.. i dunno if it was the dvd player that was crap, or the dvd. but anyway, i sent the dvd back for another one. i just thought it was badly burnt or something. you should just send it back.
