Cool

Hey guys, my cousin has a laptop for about two years now, but it has been acting up recently. The laptop is beginning to freeze up and the only way to unfreeze is to turn the entire thing off. It also shuts down automatically. This has never happened before. If you guys have any suggestions or comments on this problem, please post. Thank you very much.

Sounds like a heat problem. I haven't had any experience with laptops, but I know my system has done those exact things when I was having problems with heat.

Sometimes dust can affect heat displacement. I kno't know if dust could have gotten in their really easy, but maybe.

Try to take it apart yourselves, just so you can check it out. If you don't feel comfortable doing this, then take it to a repair place that will look it over and tell you what is wrong before they charge you. Places like this DO EXSIST!!

Hope this helps...
