Problem with microsoft word
Ok, so I have used word many times, but I've never tried anything fancy with it (I'm a meat and potatoes guy myself). So I have this file which is shared between a bunch of different people (everybody updates it) and it is in a shared computer with a bunch of other people who have similiar type files (more people than I could possibly count). Anyways, I go to update it and there is a row on the right side with boxes that say formatted, deleted, style definition, etc... just a bunch of what looks like notes on old stuff that was done to the file over a long period of time (I don't recognize some of the names so it looks like some of the formatting precedes me i.e. at least 3 weeks old). I don't know if it's a virus or if someone just did something as a prank. Is there an option on word that allows you to do this kind of stuff and if so, how can I undo it. Thanks.

Hmmm... I just tried it. It changed one of the arrows around but didn't get rid of the whole column. Did I do something wrong?

Click the arrow next to Accept Change , and then click Accept All Changes in Document. ![]() (you should have the Revision tool bar visible, if you're Tracking Changes. its the toolbar with the dropdown box that says "Show Final Markup" along with some buttons, one with paper, pencil and arrows, checkmark, and an X) Last edited by DaFunkyUnit : 10-01-2004 at 05:42 PM. |
