This is a strange problem...
When i boot up my computer and if i move the mouse at all during start up, when i get to the log in screen the keyboard or mouse does not work. If i do not touch the mouse at all during start up, i can log in fine. any ideas? Thanks |

I had a problem like this A LONG TIME AGO (back in Windows 3.1) and it turned out to be a bad Genius Mouse. Ever since then I only use MS or Logitech mice. To check if this is the case, try a different mouse.

I have had it happen sometimes with my Logitec optical mouse. When you can't move the mouse, you have to use the power button and start over. Now I don't touch anything until startup is all loaded.
