How Do I delete something in the StartUp?

I can see Adobe updater and reader special in Msconfig (startup tab)
there something else also

how do i Delete it?
I mean I can disable it, but a warning would pop up @ startup telling me to go to normal mode, which would enable it again

Is there something I can do?

TIA

in the startup folder in windows - you can delete it.

you can also go into the registry

run regedit

hkey local machine - software - microsoft - windows - current version - run

you can find the adobe key and delete it. if you want to just disable it, double click the key and in the datat line put a semicolon ( at the beginning of the string

also check hkey current user - software - ms - windows - current version - run

this works for any other services you may not want to have start up with windows.

be careful - don't just delete stuff willy-nilly.......

There are a number of free applications that will help control startup processes. One of my preferred is Startup Inspector (just be sure to Apply any changes before you exit) - I like the way it can retrieve information on the startup list ("Consult" button). There's a Startup Monitor program there that can alert you when any program tries to insert itself into the startup lists.

if you're not sure what the process does - google it - that will tell you if it's critical or not

you can check it at Start:Run: type "msconfig" to check whats going on in the "startup" tab.
