how many causes for this problem are there...?
So my system goes into stand by, but when I press a button on the keyboard it doesn't do anything. so I have to press the power button, it starts up, but then the monitor never turns on... it just goes into power save etc. specs: NF4 Lanparty SLI-DR AMD 4000 San Diego 6800 gt BFG 74gbg raptor as main OS HD DVD burner all help is greatly apreciated!! ok now im getting the blue screen......AHHHHHH! heres my error report: link Last edited by Daversinger : 01-11-2006 at 11:57 PM. |

Well, the simple answer is that power save mode in Windows sucks a$$. It's slightly flaky at best, and totally unstable at times. Based on the blue screen error you're getting, it looks like Windows is not totally happy with one of your device drivers. This COULD be the cause of your stand by issue.
I'd recommend that you go into the power settings and set system stand by to 'never'. You can continue to power down the monitor & HDs - stand by and hibernation are what cause the most problems. |
