WMP: Won't play inside of IE
WMP just sits there and doesn't play video. Occasionally, it'll get stuck on "connecting." If I right click on the black screen and select "Error Message", I get this error: Encountered a network error. Here are the details:
Quote:
I know it's not a proxy issue because it happens on multiple networks, including my home network which has no proxy or filters. Just to be sure, I've adjusted all the proxy settings one way or the other. I've already re-installed WMP 10, and I've reset IE to defaults. support.microsoft.com hasn't been much help. Edit: I've also tried http://support.microsoft.com/kb/838101/en-us Any ideas?

This happens to me all the time and I figure WMP 10 just sucks and move on to the next p0rN clip. Kidding about that last part.
![]() It's not just you if that helps.
