Cannot access gmail on wireless connection
Strangest thing happened to me after setting up my wireless connection...
I can't connect to gmail. I can get to the login page, but once I enter my information, it just loads, and loads, and loads some more and never connects. The laptops wireless connection loads gmail just fine, so I know it's something with the computer. I've removed all the drivers, turned the computer off, removed the card, turned the computer back on, re-installed the drivers, etc etc blah blah...and I get the same problem When I go home I'm going to whipe all the cookies and temp internet stuff just for fun, see what happens. Any idea on why something like this would happen, or a better way to go about fixing it?

Is this happening on IE and Firefox? If not, have you tried the other browser?

well, it's more of a problem then just gmail, it's got to be something with the wireless connection, or the belkin drivers...
gmail works for now on all browsers (it did not work on IE or firefox, or Opera but then started working on opera for an unknown reason and now it works on everything) but the internet is all screwey. And it's not the connection itself, because that's strong and I use the laptop in the same spot my computer is plugged in. The belkin drivers and utilities are just horrible, it adds networks into my preferred network list for me, and puts other peoples networks at the top of the list, which it can't even connect to, and won't allow me to connect to my preferred network. it's insane! so now sometimes it works, sometimes it screwes everything up and I have to uninstall it and reinstall it. drivers and hardware... I'm about to just drill some holes and run a frikin wire and deal with the consequences later lol |
