Halloween Crafts

So any of you moms and dads have any good easy halloween crafts that you do with your kids. I am getting in the mood for the season. I am pulling out the decorations this weekend and I want to start on some crafts with the kids.

So toss me your best ideas for season.

what kinda things are you looking for?

You can use glass baby food jars, elmers and tissue paper (orange for pumpkins, white for ghosts, black for cats) and construction paper. tear the tissue into pieces the size of nickles give or take, paint the glue on the outside of the glass jars, and cover it with the tissue overlapping randomly as you go. When it dries, use the construction paper to add the faces. You can use it for candy gifts or as a candle holder (tea lights with metal or plastic bases)

if you want outdoor type decor, we make our tombstones out of garage door insulation (styrofoam about 2 inches thick). We use spray paint (flecked marble type and black) and it turns out rather nice. ( http://www.bigscreamtv.info/boo-it-yourself.html for better directions : ) )

Another site my husband loves to pull from http://www.hauntproject.com/

If you really want to go all out, grab some ideas from this guy http://www.komar.org/halloween/ which we have seen posted here before I think.

Cool I am off to check out those sites. I am open to just about anything. Can't do the baby food jar one as I don't have any and never did. But that is a cute Idea. I might see if I can find anyone with a baby that actually eats that crap and bum a few off of them.

I love Halloween, thanks agian for all the sites, off to see what fun stuff I can find.

well, they are hard to find now because they switched to little plastic containers a couple years ago.

But any small jar (think pickle, pimento (sp?), mushroom) will work.
