where can i buy me some suspenders?!
i've checked several places, looking for a cheap pair of suspenders (that is, non-designer), and NOBODY CARRIES THEM any more!
AND! you'd be surprised how much difficulty i had trying to get my hands on a non-printed, plain red, long sleeve t-shirt. it's amazing! does anyone know where i can get either of these? i need them for my halloween costume, and so far, i've come up empty everywhere.

Don't craft stores like Michaels and A.C. Moore carry solid color t-shirts? I think they have regular shirts by Hanes in a load of colors, you might be able to find a long one there.
Suspenders? Ehhh...not sure. Wal-Mart? ![]()

Sears for the suspenders
Can you use tool belt suspenders? try hardware depts As for the red shirt, I have one, but it's a brick red. I got it at Target a couple years back. I love long sleeves and grabbed it up. If you find anything with a silk screen, turn it inside out. Try the woman depts. They would have longsleeve over mens I would think. |

Wal-mart does usually carry suspenders. And Michaels always carries solid color shirts. BUT if you are larger than an exlarge they won't have any to fit you. You also might try Sears for the suspenders.

thank you all so much!
i was hoping to have my outfit completed by tomorrow for a friend's birthday party, so i'm keeping my fingers crossed about wal-mart and sears. i'm between a med. and a lrg, so michael's shouldn't have a problem fitting me. and chrissy, that idea about turning a printed shirt inside out was BRILLIANT! why didn't i think of that?? oh, and for the record, brick red would have suited my purposes just fine. ![]() on a side note: i also need to put black stripes (maybe 1-2.5 inches thick) on the sleeves of the red t-shirt. any suggestions on the best way to do that? i was thinking black tape of some sort, but any other suggestions are appreciated! you people are so resourceful. |

electrical tape would be your best bet -- short notice and no drying time. nice clean lines.
Otherwise, there are fabric markers or a sharpie if you aren't worried about ruining the shirt. |
