fresh grilled chicken (usually marinated in Italian dressing), fresh boiled eggs, fresh bacon bits, & shredded cheese, with Italian & Ranch dressing mixed together.

making a salad usually means a fair amount of effort, so I rarely do it anymore. Just plain lettuce and dressing simply won't do it anymore!

This is a bit late, but I made this salad and it was a huge hit and it was really easy.

4-5 cups of spinach
2 artichokes drained and sliced
1 clove of garlic chopped
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp lemon zest
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
1/4 cp Olive oil
salt and pepper
1/4 cp parm. cheese

Personally, I like Chicken Ceasar salads...

Grilled Chicken
Romaine Lettuce
White shredded cheese
Parmesan cheese
Croutons
Ceasar Dressing

BTW... just be carefull when asking "open ended" questions like that. Your answer could be... "with Jelly or Syrup".

Sounds good so far. I'd add beans, carrots, and cucumbers.

Watch the Ranch. Too much can offset the health benefits a good salad brings!

as does the bacon and cheese. I don't claim my salads are healthy!

Pretty much Green leaf lettuce (for sandwiches) and romaine lettuce (for salads) rule!

I'm a big fan of the "spring mix" combo. It has green and red lettuce, spinach, arugala, and other leafs in there, good stuff if you ask me. I also like iceberg for the crunch though. I like romaine too.

Yup... it's cheaper mostly because it is mostly water with very little real nutritional value. The darker lettuce types have way more of the "good stuff" your body wants from a vegetable.
