What are we all going to do for Thanksgiving?

This year we are going to my sister house. The wife has to work 7pm to 7am at the hospital. People still get sick and hospitals never close. Also, she figured if she worked, other nurses with families could spend the day home with their kids. And then this way she gets NEW YEARS off even though she has like 25 years in there!

We're driving down into the Bay Area to be with both sides of the family. My Dad's side we usually visit first, say hello and visit for an hour or two (it's a big gathering, between 35-40 people) and then we go to my Mom's family gathering that is usually only a short diatance (10 miles) away. That gathering is usually only about 25 people, though it has been getting bigger with the new children.

. . . except it won't be/isn't quiet for me.

I'll be getting together with about 100 American Expats later tonight for a big Turkey Day feast at a German restaurant.

My daughter, son-in-law, and two grandkids came into town last Saturday. We took care of the kids for a couple days earlier this week while they went away. :turkey: will be at my wife's parents' place later today. Daughter/s-i-l/grandkids leave Saturday.

Had Thanksgiving dinner with the family and neighbors yesterday (Wednesday night, Korea time). Will have Thanksgiving dinner with friends and fellow ex-pats/soldiers tomorrow (Friday, Korea time). Will have Thanksgiving banquet with my church Saturday night.

I've lost some weight here in Korea. I expect to have gained it all back come Monday.
