What Do You Value Most?

I've started writing my b-school essays, and one of the questions I was asked was "What do you value most?" . . . it took me a while to think of what I wanted to write about (still haven't written the essay, though) . . . however, I'm curious to hear answers from others (no need to explain "why?" . . . but of course you're more than welcome to) . . . please don't just answer a person (e.g. mom, wife, kids) , though . . . if it's a person that you value most, try to think about what it is about that person that you value? . . . again . . . one thing

Danke

My sweet, sweet WD Raptor. 10,000 RPMs of pure love.

If they want a more serious answer, I guess (aside from family) it would have to be my job experience. No education or credentials can trump 16 years of expereince. Not that I wouldn't love to go back to get an MBA, but until I do, I'll feel smug about what I *do* have.

Well naturally, the obvious answer would be family and God/religion...but aside from that I'd have to say I value my heritage the most. I am a hand gesturing, canoli making, gravy making Italian that can't imagine being any other ethnicity.

Aside from the obvious of family and friends, I value my sense of hearing the most.

Say that you value Alumni contributions and you plan to make plenty as a graduate of that fine institution.

Honesty. The world would be much simpler if everyone was honest.

Btw this goes for business as well. Imagine if everyone was honest about your work rather than playing politics, people afraid of hurting feelings. You would have a better understanding of what you need to improve, what needs to be fixed, and everyone would benefit.

Which bschools are you applying?

friendship.

Small, new, old, and the rest. relationships that are deep in trust and some that are just in passing. Being there for others just because you can be and want to be. Smiles and hugs, favors given and returned with no questions or strings attached.

I'm with Chrissy about friendship. Also, being by myself for the last day and a half, family is definitely up there as well. Didn't know how much I'd miss them! lol

on the non-people side, my babies... my kitties. They love me no matter what happens. You just can't buy that.

i feel its a bogus question
the fact that you are being asked what you value most shows that "one" has no values so to speak it pis family against religion against possesions one should not be forced to pick anything over the other
its like picking "which one of you "kids, parents, pets" gets to survive the <insert horrific tragedy here>
