Reception Site in Oahu

Planning on getting married in Oahu and we are looking for reception places, does anyone know of a good place to have it we don't want it at a hotel and don't expect a lot of guest since its a desination wedding, looking at 120 but really expect around 75 to 80 people.

You can check with some of the public golf courses around the island. The private courses you will need some sort of a membership in. My cousin had her reception at a private club because one of the uncles is a member.

Where on Oahu are you looking? Waikiki?

Thanks, we are actually looking at having it at Ko'olau Golf Course and the wedding would be at Sacred Hearts in Honolulu. Has any of you been to either locations? We are planning on taking a short trip there end of september.

sure glad your not planning it in the next week or two as them storms (hurricanes im sure are making the islands a mess . when we went to kauai 2 years ago . the hotal had to plan for a possible hurricane while we were guests .they did it low key .but you know they were making plans on how to protect us . and we keep a close eye on the weather .as the storm was forming .got lucky and it turned or we been right in its path at one point .

Nah, the islands are fine. Oahu didn't even get rain from the storm and Hawai'i (i.e. the Big Island) only got a lot of rain, which they sorely needed.

If you come out in September let me know when you are coming out and we can try to meet up. I would be happy to show you around on the weekend. FYI: I will be out of town (i.e. back on the mainland) the last week of Sept.

Aloha!!!
