how to let someone down easy ?

here is the deal .
this woman i have only met twice .stop in yesterday to a store i help out . and i was not there and was asking all kiinds of personal questions about me . these were very personal question . she went as far as asking if i was happly marryed . it got a friend upset enought to call me and warn me this had just happen. and he not the type to get upset or shaken by most things .

now i give you some imput on the woman as i know it .she lost a son about a month and 1/2 ago .
he died suddenly on a trip that me and he was on . (he was 17)
he came up with a friends son and died on a dirt bike . i was there helping a friend clear land . and the boys were out on a trail ride when it all happen . the cops brought my friends son back .and we got the bad news

anyway the only time i met. this woman was at her son's wake .
and the other was at the local grogery store that was 3 weeks back . and he hugged me and kissed me on the lips . her huppy was rig there when this took place . she also kind of walked me to a diffrent area from were her hubby was . i did think anything of it . but i was a little baffle by her actions that 2nd meeting .things were not 100% right it seem to me .
but i had no reason to think twice about it till now .

so im thinking i may have a problem coming that i have to deal with .and i want to not hurt the woman .but im sure NOT interested in her .
im sure glad i never sign the guess book so she dont have my address .

Personally, I don't think you should read too much into this. Maybe she has a daughter she'd like to fix you up with.
oh yeh. and were. you drunk when you .typed. this?.

She might be crazy but that doesn't necessarily mean she's coming on to you or anything. Who knows what her state of mind is after losing a son 1 1/2 months ago. I guess keep an eye out but don't sweat it.

Yeah, uhh.. You aren't JUST NOW noticing all of his posts are this way are you?

I have no idea what I would do in this situation though, minus stay far far away. And pray that you don't live in California where she could easily just sue for negligence.

Agent Plissken no it was her -miss type .should of been a her .
she has a daughter but she is a high schooler .and im about moms age or older .
also i know her hubby works afternoons or something and a lot of overtime at his job .now i only know this from the friends i was with . when the son was killed .
i like to ask steve my friend what to make of her but i don't feel he or his wife needs to know whats up at this point .
if she really is the way it.coming across i will speak to them about her . i hope im making more out of it then it really is .

It's probably nothing. And even if it is something jmk is right.

There really is no way to let someone down easy anyway. It's all going to hurt one way or another.

soudns rough just play it cool and wiat if anything comes up again be frank and pen and honest with her that should take care of stuff

Just don't lead on or pretend like you don't notice if you think it is something serious. The worse thing to do is delay and let them build it up worse.
Or just casually say, Yeah me and the girl are going hiking this weekend. That way she doesn't have to be embarassed by a direct confrontation.
